It is not a hylid, but an Old World treefrog of the family Hyperoliidae, which was once considered the same family as the Rhacophoridae. The Old World treefrogs are closely related to the Ranids, whereas the hylids (a mostly New World family) are more closely related to the toads or Bufonids.

They used to be quite common imports from Africa. Not sure if they are still being imported on a regular basis anymore or if they are being captive bred.
