I was contacted by a member of my school board asking if I was interested in adopting her son's fat-tail that he has lost interest in. I said yes because I've always wanted a gecko (and I'm thankful for her support in my recent hiring). She said it is 5 years old and was handled regularly until a year or so ago (once her son got to high school). She is dropping it off next week. I've read up on housing, but am unsure about a feeding schedule. I've never had a reptile that needs crickets.

My rosy boa eats every couple weeks and my red-footed tortoises eat every day. How often does an adult fat-tail eat? My students are very excited to meet Murphy. I haven't told them what he is, just that his name is Murphy. Will the little guy be okay over the weekends? My redfoots do okay as long as I soak down their moss and mulch substrate before I leave on Friday, but humidity is usually down to 65% by Monday morning.
