help with bloated young RETF!!!!

It's my first time I bred RETF. my tadpoles develop[ very well until now. they just have their front legs, so I transfer them to a terrarium with very shalow water, lined with aquarium gravel. I was very disapointed to find several ones awfully bloated with fluid, they look like poor little balloons, and several died. I suspect it is due to excessive moisture, but how can I prevent this condition without encountering the risq off having them dessicating? may be something else is wrong with them? Please , help!!!!
