When ball pythons move, they move close to objects rather than run across the open, thing you should do is trace around your containers and objects you have around. They will mostly stay near the ground in the beginning. Since they sense heat, when he needs it he'll be out to find a heat source, thats your cue. Try losing a monitor, its crazy!
