mini-Greek?

Hi Emory;

as mentioned elsewhere, without knowing locality data, short of genetic testing there is no real way to say for 100% certainty.

In my OPINION, that animal is what I call a "mini-Greek". When I was importing greeks from Beirut I got goldens and animals looking like yours. The ones like yours were never over 6 inches and five inch females laid eggs. Due the small size at maturity I dubbed the "mini-Greeks".

If you go here you will see images of various greeks labelled "Syria" that I imported from Beirut. Despite the Lebanese origin, the pet trade at the time was calling them "Syrian" so I had to stick with it for continuity's sake.
