Hi everybody, Id like to introduce myself, as I have just discovered this forum after having my first yellow condas for over 2 months.
My name is Hana, I live in the UK and chain of circumstances had me ending up with a beautiful breeding pair. I fell in love with them the minute I saw them on the net and made a great effort to make it possible to have them. I have researched whatever I could and their previous owners felt satisfied with my circumstances, though I never had condas or in fact any large snakes before.
I was very blessed because these sweeties are probably as tame as my other snakes which are, ermmm... corns. I intend to breed them, they are gorgeous morphs, but this is one area I need to learn more about, so I started here.
But my main concern is that I have no opportunity to meet other conda keepers in my area as there dont seem to be any for fair distances. That makes it a bit more tricky to learn all I need to know.
I would be really gratefull if youd be happy to reccomend me any good source of info. I have the Anacondas - (Professional Breeders Series) (Hardcover) by Hans Bisplinghof (Author), Henry Bellosa book, also printed various care sheets ie Ben Rennicks etc. Still, as Im sure you understand, there is so much more one needs to know.
Ie - whilst I look after them to my best ability, Im a bit worried what if they get ill, how would I know apart from the dreaded nose bubbles etc?
What would be the signs of an unwell conda to watch out for.
Also, for cleaning and desinfection I use a mild mix of natural vinegar and water, which I them still rinse it off. I read this somewhere credible, was it Bens? But I use vinegar for cleaning anyway as I prefer everything natural and non-toxic.
But I would appreciate any feedback on this - anybody has experience with it? How strong a solution do you use?
Ok, this is getting long so will stop there, any tips much appreciated![](images/smiles/smile.gif)
Best wishes tyo all fellow conda lovers, Hana
