Hi all, I have two questions for the softshell gurus out there. First, I have noticed that my softshell has some red blotches on his skin. It started out as peeling skin on his head so I thought he was shedding. However when the skin came off it has left these pinkish spots on his skin. Then I notice that the tips of his feet were also pink. Has anyone else seen this. If so is this normal for shedding.
Also it looks like his shell is curving on the edges too, I have read previous posts about diet. He is not a voracious eater but I vary his diet with chicken, mealworms, crickets, krill, shrimp, earthworms and bloodworms and reptomin. He is a finicky eater and likes the chicken but picks at the other food items. presented. I have been changing the water in his tank pretty regularly (1 time every two weeks) and clean the filter 1 a week. The last couple of weeks he also has been basking non stop. Any suggestions on either of these problems?
