Hey, all.

I'm fairly well versed in care for snakes, mainly ball pythons. My girlfriend loves the balls to death, but her roommates have expressly forbidden her to get one. Not cool. BUT ANYWAY.

She wants to get some kind of amphibian as a pet, and I thought I'd come to the experts here to get a good idea of what to recommend. Something inexpensive and somewhat easy to care for would be best, but a garden variety toad probably wouldn't be interesting enough. If it's a little flashier, that'd be great. ...My first thought was a firebelly toad. Any thoughts? Recommendations?

Please sound off! Let me know what you guys think.
