I have never heard of a herbivorous tegu...

I find some are pickier than others, plus it's a time of year when many begin to lose their appetites and prepare for brumation.

I have a red that loves fruit of many kinds and will pick it out of the meat to eat. One B/W will eat fruit and meat, another B/W eats more meat, less fruit. Of course the Colombian is carnivorous.

I would offer a bigger variety of fruits than just bananas; mix it with the meat if you have to. Also offer whole prey items: rodents, chicks, fish. Ground turkey is OK, but lacks minerals.
