No, I haven't had that problem. I am not getting into balls for the money. I haven't bred yet either, and all of my snakes are under 1.5 years. I have my collection as a hobby, and as my pets, and am going to breed because I am fascinated by the genetics. I purposely purchased most of my snakes as babies, the few others were 7-9 months old. I really have enjoyed raising them, seeing how they change as they grow. I never enjoy seeing a poor little rats die, and in the beginning thought I'd have to have my husband do it, but I found myself actually cheering on the babies and felt joy that they eat and are healthy and growing. I have also named every one and handle them as pets. I'd rather be in the snake room cleaning up pooh than go to work each day, and that says a lot because I like my job .

As far as the messing with life....pythons breed in the wild, or they wouldn't be here. Also, from what I've read most of these morphs are naturally occuring and have been imported. By breeding in captivity, you are just "choosing" their boyfriend/girlfriend for them. Also, in captivity they are protected, and to not face the day-to-day facts of whether or not they'll be food for some other predator. They have a clean cage with water and safety. I don't have any remorse over the decision to want to breed them because I know I provide the best environment I am capable of....as any owner of any pet should.

What has causes me stress is how am I going to sell the offspring that I don't keep for myself? I'll probably get attached to them!

I am not sure that answered your questions, but it is my own personal feelings.
