I am curious- did you do this for your entertainment or are you suggesting that a longer semi-brumation period will somehow adversely impact the health of your reptiles?

Or perhaps you are suggesting that a two week seasonal change is sufficient for proper health? I kind of doubt that this is the case if you admit to having to ‘trick’ them.

Or maybe you disagree with some of the reptile medical experts that suggest reptiles benefit from seasonal variation and this variation is necessary for normal system development including things such as the reproduction and immune system?
