Posted by: shanemc88 at Thu Dec 11 22:49:44 2008 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by shanemc88 ] im looking on the beanfarm.com website for heat tape and i see different sizes for what im assuming is width. for a 6 ft long cage something around 24 inches was recommended, so would that be covering 2 ft of the entire length(so 2 feet out of 6 is heated)? And would i want the tape to extend the entire width of the cage too? To put this into a candy analogy, if the bottom of my cage was a hershey bar divided into thirds, , would i want one third of the entire floor to be covered by the heat tape ? with the H's representing the heat tape haha.
