I'm thinking of gettting a "2 year old" (36in) green tree python, but I really want to be careful. I'm exchanging emails with the owner, and they got the snake from someone who didnt want it anymore because they were moving AND because it had some sort of skin condition. I'm waiting for pics, but...this sounds odd. The person who owns it now says he has been applying topical antibiotics and doesn't mind keeping it, but if someone else wants the snake and wants to deal with it's skin problems, then they have got the go ahead. He says it eats fuzzy/small rats and eats no problem.

I'm waiting for pics, and I will post them on this thread ASAP but...what do you think? I have two JCPs and havn't yet owned a GTP...is this a bad idea? Am i going over my head? I would be way more paranoid if this snake was a teeny baby but since it is a little older that clues me it is more established. If i decide to look at the snake I will request to see it eat as well...what do you guys think?
