My guy is 18 months old, and about 8-9" SVL. He still acts like yours. He's on edge when he's outside of the cage, but likes to come out and free roam. He opens the door (or I open it), and he walks around. I pick him up and he settles a bit and walks around on my shoulder. We recently moved and now he's antsy again.
