Chucks can become quite tame, and even friendly. Generally, captive bred animals are more open to handling than their wild caught counterparts. It really just depends on the individual, and the amount of time you spend with it. As far as cage size, Austin and I house our chucks in at least a 50 gallon sized tub (about 4' by 1.5' floor dimensions) for 1-3 sub adult to adult sized chucks. Chucks are active lizards, so a bigger cage is usually better. One of our breeding pairs is housed in a 300 gallon stock tank, which is about 5 or 6 feet in diameter. Cage setup is similar to collared lizards or uromastyx. Hopefully, this helps.
