It is always great to see our babies grow up at their new homes. Austin and I love to get updates on our babies. The granites do seem to hatch out a little bigger than our other locales of S. ater. Our main breeder male is also the biggest ater that We have ever seen. He is about 17" total length, and is weighs about 1 pound. It doesn't sound so big, but when you look at him next to any of our other adult ater, you can really see the difference. You guys got his babies, so they could get just as big as him one day, maybe even bigger.
It would be interesting hearing about other people's "monster" S. ater. I would like to know just how our big guy measures up against a larger sample group. Of course, actual measurements would be a must.... no "fish stories"!
Take Care,
Nick
