Yes, pretty much. They are almost entirely nocturnal and very shy beyond that.
Also, if you are getting a SK, you should make sure of two things - 1. It eats pinkies. Many SKs are tough to switch to pinkies/fuzzies and many wild caught ones that are sold are too small to eat them anyway. They will readily consume small skinks.
2. You have a secure cage. SKs must be the best escape artists of the snake world! ----- Chris Harrison San Antonio, Texas
