Posted by: reedsdragons08 at Sun Jan 4 00:28:55 2009 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by reedsdragons08 ] i personaqly started breeding balls and frilled dragons and ausi waterdragons and the list goes on because i love reptiles. and they became a hobby i never even thought of breeding until i got eggs from a bearded dragon they were in fertal because she was not in with the male and that made me think why not breed them she is going to have eggs anyway if i breed them i can get some money back out of them. dont get me wrong they dont make me rich and im sure i spend more than i make on everything but i do it to help pay for my hobby my love and the best part of it is not the money the people you meet that love reptiles or any of that its watching them hatch getting to see what is going to come out and knowing that you did it and could have something someone would love as much as i do.and also i could not afford the exspensive ones so breeding un knowns and hets was a way to get me ones i loved but could not afford and my other reason was every baby i produced was one less baby bought from the wild yes i have wc animals but every one i produce and someone buys is one more that was not shoved in a bag with 10 or 100 others (i have worked in the wholesale end supplying pet stores) and i have seen plenty of un healthy animals shipped crammed in a bag. but also lots of orders with healthy ones anyway some of you may agree with that and some may think my reasons are dumb but thats why i do it [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] |
