It wasn't easy to do, but I got a look & pulled off this clear/pale yellow crusty stuff. The scales have since returned to their original position.
My adult BTS gets this on his lips too. My herp vet has looked at it before & isn't too concerned about it, but she said she'll ask her colleagues on the herp vet forums to see if they have any idea why they get it & what to do about it. When I pull it off, the skin underneath (just inside the mouth, on the inside of the lip) looks raw & there is occasionally a trace amount of blood.
Anyone have any idea what it is & how to treat it? The skinks do not share an enclosure & are on different substrates (aspen & paper). ----- Robins Critters
