HELP ID...this gecko is soo tiny.

My hubby found this guy at work outside.We live in Kansas there are no species of geckos here so it has to be an escapee.
He has toe pads like a tokay not like the slender leopard gecko toes.
heres a bad picture.BTW the tip of his tail is missing.
