Turtles shouldn't be fed every day, especially if they are of a decent age. I would feed the pellets once a day or every other day, on the days you are there. Then, just throw in some fish on the days you arn't. RES also eat a lot of plant matter so you can throw in some aquatic plants like Anacharis for it to eat.
