hello all, I just got a baby argentine b&w tegu, its about 11" or so, and from agama international. my temps/humidity were established ahead of time, however, he arrived lethargic, and instantly bedded down. now let me preface by saying I have had tegus, monitors, and reps in general for 20 yrs now, and I am familiar with general behavior ( as in he didn't seem like he was regularly acclimating, with normal new to cage behavior) so after I contacted agama, hester told me they were indeed in hibernation. so...finally to my question... is it ok to keep normal temps and encourage activity/feeding? or now that its started must I continue this inactivity process with cool temps and darkness? I didn't want him to hibernate, but I don't want to stress/endanger the lil fella so any advice would be greatly appreciated, sorry so long!
