So you will have to give them many dark places to hide plus all lights off at night. I like ceramic heaters for heat. I keep my ceramic heaters on all day and night in the winter for the tokays. I'm a beginner at the geckos but I think they are ok with most tropical plants. I would just say keep with a tropical theme. No cacti.
