Only good healthy chucks should be bred. This is especially important for the females, as breeding is much more of a strain on them.
Make sure they get lots of food, and good supplementation.
We incubate on vermiculite, 1.25 to 1 or 1 to 1 ratio of vermiculite to water by weight. We put the eggs into disposable plastic storage containers, and punch a few small ventillation holes in the lid or sides of the container. We incubate at 84-86 degrees F, but some breeders go higher. We also maintain high humidty in the incubator. At these temps, incubaton takes about 70-100 days.
