Its so nice to see someone setting up and testing the enclosure before the baby arrives.

If you spray the thermostat probe directly, the temperature will appear to drop. Use a temperature gun to get accurate temps around your enclosure and you'll probably find a less drastic temperature drop than you think.

As for night drop..you mention you're getting a neo. If you mean an '08 hatchling, you dont need a night drop. Until you get the hang of chondro husbandry, go ahead and keep the temperatures consistent.

If you can upload pix of your enclosure, you may get a few more people to chime in with tips. Of course asking Rico's feedback on your setup would be a great idea too.
