Brandon is partially correct. Trooper actually did it twice while at NZP. One female died as a result like Brandon mentioned but another female actually produced three clutches in just under 14 months, 2 fertile & 1 slug (without male introductions)clutch. As a result she lost all her teeth (confirmed by x-ray) and was assist fed for another 5 year's. She never reproduced again and was eventually euthanized. IMO double clutching would be a VERY bad idea!

Boid's are a far different beast than colubrids and I would bet none should be double clutched. I'm sure someone will eventually go on to try and disprove that statement.
