The pac-man was in a 10 gallon tank with the bark/stringy like substrate, and a shallow lid w/water. We misted him every day.

About 2 weeks after we bought him, he stopped moving around and eating. We just thought he was hibernating. He lasted another month.

We had greenery in there for a while, but took it out because it was too easy for the crix to hide. Instead we put in a bark half/circle hide. We tried really hard to keep the substrate moist, but the light we used on top dried it out very quickly. In the end, I think we couldn't keep him moist enough. Keeping him warm AND moist seemed like an oxymoron...?

Any ideas on what we did wrong?

Thanks!

>>Well if by water frogs you mean ACF(african clawed frogs), then you have had two very hardy species.

>>temps? humidty? substrate? diet? etc. The more you can provide the better.
