If your camera has a flash make sure that it goes off. It looks like you are trying to take the photos under existing light, which is low, and that causes a slow shutter speed leading to the really bad photos.
this may require that you read a manual a little bit and then push a button a few times.
Other alternative - put the lizard next to a sunny window. Bright light = high shutter speed = sharp photo.
