You will be able to see the shape of the eggs on each side of the Iguana. The hip area will shrink up,and you will have seen better looking dead Iguanas after it lay's the eggs. There will be no mistake about when she is ready. They will start useing their front leggs to dig. They will be in a trance and dig the air if there is no sand/dirt.They like a dark tunnel or hole to go into.A big non see through Tupperware container with sand/dirt in it with a hole cut in the side they can get through. You can take off the top to"quickly" check for eggs.Be around when this starts because they will lay them and then dig them back up,trying to lay more.A lot of eggs will be damaged this way,so try to retreve them fast. Its that thin line between chaos and stability. You might have to stay up all night.Get them to drink a lot of water before hand,or feed a lot of Romane. You dont want a dehydrated Iguana to start laying eggs. There are several ways to set up the eggs, but most of all dont make them to wet.If to dry you can get another chance by adding some damp moss over them if they start to cave in.If to wet,you get the fuzz and it will be next year for another chance.Vic
