Posted by: blargay at Mon Mar 9 21:53:01 2009 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by blargay ] hi, I recently was faced with the death of my gtp consuela. she was a maruke x aru, a very great looking snake. anyways, i had her for about 2 months and she was doing great, just gettin acclimated and settled in. i was able to handle her very easy (for a green tree python that is). however, i for two weeks she refused to eat (i attempted to feed 3 times). she looked healthy and was active. one day, i walk in to find her on the ground fallen off her perch. she was too weak to stay on for long so i let her be and her belly was slightly bloated. she had pooped in tiny amounts a few times and was very liquidy. this was late in the day so the vet was closed. a truly depressing sight. she occassionally weezed with her mouth slightly open so i was hoping she just had a minor case of RI and i could bring her to the vet the next day ASAP to correct it. sadly she didnt make it long into the next day.
