I don't see why you couldn't keep them outdoors. I know Kathy Love keeps her amazons outside year round and they do very well. I know of one other person keeping Emeralds outdoors and they too are doing fine. If the temps are good and the humidity is kept up, it should be fine. A small pool of water, waterfall or some other way of keeping the ambient humidity up should do the trick. I would love to be able to do that here, but the weather is not conducive to it.
