I did a lot of research and just need to know the basic. i researched Melissa Kaplan site about laying eggs and signs. My iguana izzy is between four to six years old and I have had her for about 8 months and I asked previous owner is she's ever laid eggs and no. Izzy has about 6 of the symptoms, she is orange, maybe eating every other day and only wants fruit served and the eating is tiny amounts, bowel movements are orange, drinking water every other day, and she is kind of swollen by tummy and where her legs come together. The article said when you see swelling that it would be about 7 days then she would lay. It has been about 10 days and nothing yet. Should I wait longer, how long should I wait, or are these signs of something else. She is very active but just sensitive to touch in her abdominal area. If she is not happy on what i have for her to lay the eggs do you any suggestions on what other things we could use. we have trash can filled with mixture of dirt and sand. Any suggestions or anyone I can talk to I would greatly appreciate it.
