Hi,
I have 55gal aquarium right now that is currently housing some small diamondbacks, once they get big enough I will move them to a larger aquarium, but I will be needing a single new turtle to go in the 55gal. So my question is, what is the maximum size single turtle I could put in the 55gal and have them stay in there for whole life.(mind I do know the 10gal for 1in. rule, I am looking for personal experiences that would warrant beyond that rule.) Also any suggestions on species based on this size estimate would be nice. The tank will be nearly full with a basking plateform built onto top so it will need to be good swimmer, and preferrably colorful and interesting. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated. Thanks.
