Timing has very little to do with the size of your Uro compared to the conditions he/she is being kept in. If you are providing the proper sized enclosure, heat gradient and diet, then yes it will grow at a good pace. However, there are far too many people buying WC Uro's from pet stores who are being told they are several months old and 7-8", however, some of these are years older and in poor poor living conditions and will hinder growth.

I have 3 geyri that hatched on 7/4/08 and as of last week they are 5.75", 5.5" and 5" in length. They are given a varied diet, 124-136F basking range,96-99F hot end ambient temps, and 86F cool end ambient temps. Enclosure size is 48x18x18, and will be moving into a 6'x2'x2' enclosure in the next month or so.

I would also track the weights, as that may be more of a concern than the length. If there are any health issues you cant visibly see, a rapid decrease in weight will definitely put up a flag.
