Make sure it feels completely secure. No open sides except the front. Plenty of cover for it...silk plants, real plants etc. Try feeding at different times-early morning, evening even try early evening. Very hot pinkies that have been washed of scent sometimes helps. Tapping the neck will irritate some, I know some people have pinched the tail or back to illicite a strike. Most likely your baby is an import, not the best way to start and if you can get it eating, you'll most certainly need to get something for the inevitable parasites it will have. It's certainly possible that it's not eating due to that, but it's more likely stress is the cause.
