I did do lots of research on them before getting them. Most of my questions are just to get as many different opinions as I can because there are lots of people out there that seem to have conflicting info on them. I have been breeding many kinds of snakes and lizards as well as a few gecko species for many years but these are my first (Rhacs) so the more advice I can get the better. If I always went with what the first person told me to do every time I would have lots of dead reptiles! I know all about the aggression and compatibility issues these guys have which is why they all have their own cages. The photo of the two that are together are a pair that were sold to me as a compatible pair that have been together for years, but yes I do still watch them to make sure thing don’t change.
My cages are still being worked on and I will be adding more plants and hides for them.
The lights are only a small fluorescent and a night glow heat light. The temps on the highest branch only gets up to about 80 and if they go down to the furthest corner of the cage it is only about 70 so I think they can decide were they want to be just fine.
Right now I have been feeding the babies, crickets dusted with calcium and the adults are being fed,
Banana baby food
Apple baby food
Honey
Pinkie mice
Blended fresh bananas, honey, calcium powder, herptivite, and other fresh fruits like mango, strawberries, cantaloupe and honeydew melon.
I do plan to try the Repashy Diet as well.
