Juveniles shed more often (they are growing faster) and quicker than adults if the humidity is correct. It can happen so fast you don't catch it. Juvies also tend to eat more of the skin. You will notice that just before a shed is due, the cham's color looks paler than usual. It is the old layer of skin loosening off the newly formed skin underneath.

Some chams don't eat when the skin is actively peeling off...they are a bit distracted by it and will actively rub and stretch themselves over and over to help it loosen. I've always wondered how I would feel if my eyelids shed their skin periodically! Itchy itchy. If your cham seems to be taking days to complete a shed it is a sign that your cage is too dry.
