I've had my water dragon since he was a juvi, and right now he's about 8 years old. I will be moving literally across the country for graduate school and need to find a way to transport him safely. Driving isn't really an option for me. It's expensive, it will be at LEAST a 3 day, more likely a 4 day trip (Arizona to New York), and I don't see how it will be a whole lot less stressful on him.

Air Travel is very very cheap, I don't have a lot that I'm bringing other than clothes. Anything else I might bring will be shipped. I'm wondering if the airline will allow the lizard to be taken as carry on in a cat carrier? I really can't see why not. No one is allergic to lizards... they don't bark..

I really am not willing to allow him to travel in the undercarriage. If this is the only option, I will likely put him up for adoption, which I would really hate to do.

I also don't know how the 10,000 ft rapid pressure change affects lizards, but I assume it is not an issue.
