hello -- i usually hang out on the tortoise forum (i have a redfooted tortoise i've raised from a tiny baby), but i thought i'd swing by here with some questions.

my boyfriend and i recently watched sir david attenborough's "life in cold blood," and absolutely fell in love with the gentle, stumpy "sleepy lizard." i've seen some great pictures on this site, and wondered whether the owners found them to be good pets.

when doing research on possibly acquiring one (or a pair, since they bond so closely to each other), though, they seem both very expensive and very difficult to acquire in the united states. :/ perhaps as captive populations here grow, this could change...
