Hi, I have kept very small babies on cypress with no ill effects. Feed him on a small plate so that he doesnt eat the cypress. Also limit his food to small amounts of greens and fruit. www.redfoots.com I think is the site that has some great info on it. The direct link is http://www.turtletary.com/redfootcare.htm.
