Apalachicola National Forest, actually. I had just set camp and was walking around the lake and spotted him on a fallen tree.

I was able to get a bit closer for another pic that lets you see the Sceloporus feet and tail.

Any closer and the snake would flee, so I just sat and watched a few minutes.
