silk worms are very good daily feeder, they have 67% of protien and even have an enzime inside them that help digest and use calcium.
silk worms are slightly tough to care for requireing only one type of food, mulberry leaves, bought in powder form or harvested from a tree near you (washed very well and dried)
silk worms have no imune system and die if you do not mind the rules to wash your hands, handle minimally, and keep enclosure clean (bleach 1:10 water solution to container)
i use the powder food, i buy from mulberry farm dot com. i use a storage bin that is 36x18 and i use petri dishes and place food in them, i place the petri dishes ontop of paper towel and let the silk worms feast replacing food when dry or eaten up. it is a pet to take care of all in its own but its well worth it.
i dont recomend feeding 100% silk worm diet as i have found it makes the poo rather runny because silk worms have a high level of water in them aswell
