I keep a few desert iguanas and although I have not witnessed mating behavior one of my females has gained quite a bit of weight recently. I don't see egg bulges and she is not digging any more than normal so I don't know if she is gravid. What type of lay box is needed for desert iguanas? Can I use a miniature version of the chuck lay box or would it be better to use rocks placed around damp sand with a rock on top like you would for collared lizards? Any help is appreciated.
