idk what you mean by "are these guys a poor choise"

temps should be no lower then 70 at night and if so the dragon will go into a sleep state just like bearded dragons. but idk if its safe for a frill to do this in captivity.

humidity SHOULD BE 70-90%

day temp should not be lower then 85ish. frill dragons need a body temp of about 95.

wild insects may carry harmfull things, you dont know what hte bug has ingested or what it could be contaminated with. any bugs are a risk from the outdoors due to pestisides used.

housing a dragon outside would NOT be a good idea unless you live in an area almost identical to that of their native origin.

now..... yuo can bring your dragons out on a nice warm day and leave them for several hours seeing that the temps are right. but i dont recomend leaving them outside...
