Short answer, Mo, but they will keep growing.
Carpets are a very slender species, and there is no need to bulk them up, there feeding responses make them very easy to make obese.
I have a 10 ft monster sized female mcdowelli, and shes no bigger than a water bottle around, but a good 20 or so lbs id imagine.
It also depends on the species of carpet...some are smaller than others, I have a 7 year old coastal that refused to eat for a year for some odd reason and is only 5 ft...Have given up on her breeding entirely. ----- Pat "You keep WHAT in your freezer?" "Mice. And rats. If that bothers you, I can call them 'cows' instead."
