I took my five year old GTP out today to play for a bit, when I noticed that he had small, vertical sectiosn of keeled scales.

I'm not sure how many other herpers have noticed this - but the keeled scales are located along vertical indentions in the skin, spaced about three inches apart on the sides of his mid section. My boa has the same indentations on his midsection, but never any keeled scales. Is this common?

I'm assuming his skin is drying out a bit, although the humidity never drops below 75%. Temps vary between 75F at night, a basking of 90F during the day with a relative of 80F.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
-----
Adam
