I have been waiting a very long time to get Jackson's Chameleons. I just moved into a new house and have a nice reptile room set-up and have decided now is a good time to get a pair. Before I get any, I wanted to see if the room is a good environment for them.

Where the cages will be, the temperature is about 76-78 in the bottom half, and around 80-82 in the top half. The rooms humidity stays pretty constant at 65%. At night all the temperatures drop about 3-5 degrees.

One of my questions is, if there is that much of a thermocline in the cage, should I still provide a low wattage heat lamp.

I also have not seen anyone really agreement on how much of a night time drop they need. Some say it has to be more than ten degrees, others say 1-5 degrees is fine.

I would really like to hear from some people who successfully keep Jackson's, if you think this is a good place for them.

Thanks
