I recently purchased my first emerald tree boa.

it is a CB male, approximately 3.5 years old and kitten tame...

i bought him locally....the previous owner stated that he readily took frozen/thawed small to medium rats...

after i had him for about a week and a half, i offered him a small f/t rat, which he took immediately.

needless to say, i was very pleased.

i waited 2 weeks after that small feeding to offer him another f/t sm rat, but he showed no interest.

it's been approximately 4 weeks since he ate for me...

at night i've noticed that he moves around his enclosure...

i have him in a 3ft Vision with 2 seperate perches, one horizontal across the cage and the other diagnolly.

when he cruises his cage, he often crawls up into the lip on the top of the vision cage & sprawls out across his perches...

in the morning, he is perched perfectly on his branch as if he had never moved...

any ideas?

i'm beginning to get a tad bit worried... i know they can go a long time without eating...but it's still disheartening when your new acquisitions do not eat dependably :/

thanks in advance!
