One of my females laid eggs last night. This is my first clutch ever. I had already planned, should she lay, to have the mother incubate rather than artificial incubation.
Here is what the issue is that I would like some advice from those with experience:
Two eggs are loose in the enclosure. They appear to be good eggs, but again this is my first time. The female is wrapped around the rest of them. I have no clue how many there are nor do I want to disturb her. She is not on the heat side of the enclosure so I believe temperatures will be okay.
What should be done with the two loose eggs? Will she collect them? Has she purposefully discarded them?
Other than refilling her water should I do anything else while she is incubating them? I keep the room temperature in the 75-80F range, but have a wall A/C unit should it get too warm. Does she need to be misted?
Any advise from your own experience would be great!!! And what I should do with the two loose eggs.
Thanks in advance! Matt Mayo
