This topic has been brought up a number of times.

A lot of new keepers give their ATBs the wrong type of perches, and then they dispair over their new ATB laying on the cage floor.

I have this posted on my ATB page, and usually cut/paste it in my forum posts about perches...

"Perches/branches: Amazons prefer the bigger chunks of drift wood rather than branches. They would much prefer to lay in a nook, fork, or on a flat or broad section of wood. They will perch on single branches, but they prefer branches with forks or crisscrossed branches. Although they will sometimes perch on straight branches or PVC perches like Emerald Tree Boas do, more often than not, if they don't have a place to perch that suites their fancy they'll just lay on the cage floor. That kind of ruins the whole effect of having an arboreal snake."

In one of my posts on a forum one time, I said "I wish I could pan the room with a video so you can see all the ATBs perched nicely in each cage".

Well, now I actually do have a video of the cages and perch styles...take a look.
